Here's my Axpona Show Report:

the show was big, lots of great gear.

Unfortunately there was lots of great gear that was poorly used, bad synergy, bad music being played.  My example of this is the room down the hall from us, the Esoteric room. Good gear. Outside the room on Thursday setup day I jumped for joy seeing these huge boxes in the hallway, inside them were the Klipsch K-Horns, the big mother of mothers, which I have never heard. So I could not wait.  Well, the speakers dwarfed the room, and the gear was a total mismatch for the speakers.  Total failure. Sucked the wind right out of me.  Many of the rooms were kindred to that one.  Bleh.  I know it's not easy, shows are hard work.  Our room did not sound great Friday after setting up Thursday, the gear had just not settled in and warmed up yet.  Remember what my 3 day rule is? Well, things were better on Saturday, and much better on Sunday, when of course most people had already been through the past two days.  Such is the life of a show dealer or distributor.  It ain't easy.   

It also distresses me a bit that many are no longer caring about the playing of music and just trying to move boxes, or be hip, or whatever. 
Bless those that try, such as the Highwater room, the Audio Note room, the Lejonklou room, amongst others.

the Brinkmann Bardo table w 10.5” arm is back on the demo floor… yours truly gave the tonearm a bit of trouble awhile ago- yes, it happens to all of us- and after a mere two weeks! from here to Germany and back the tonearm is like new and singing sweetly.
