Yes, we've had our fair share this summer. Seems like every time we turn around here comes another big blow, and some storms, too! (sorry, a little country humor)
Anyway, we did take a hit to the house. One of our large, original trees gave out during one of the many winds and twisted down on top of the roof. It was so long, estimated at 150 feet, that it stuck off the back of the roof. So now you'll see our bright blue tarp as you pull in, ready and waiting for the contractor to start repairs. It's actually not too bad, could have smashed the whole front half of the house if it had come loose from the ground. No hifi was touched, nor the 3 front rooms damaged, so life is good.
