Too Hot for a Listening Appointment?

Nah, not in the least.  The old farmhouse here is old yet the AC unit is minty fresh, and oh so cold. The air vents are fairly quiet, yet for some that have bat ears, I drop the temp way down and then turn it off, so you'll be listening in fairly dead quiet, except for me breathing, or a chirping bird outside. I can't do much about either. Well, I can go upstairs and leave you to it for a while, which is fine. You need to relax and know your next purchase intimately. As for the birds, those I encourage with plantings and trying to keep my domain (non-farmed fields) as green as possible, so I think you'll be okay with them. I have had one nice chap bring his binoculars and we went out and about for a few sightings - a few herons by the pond, kestrels and hawks high in the sky, and many barn swallows swooping in and out. For those of you interested I have blue birds in the spring, and also orioles, and many hummingbirds during the summer months.  Quite a plethora of fowl, I'd say. 
And speaking of high in the sky, I am delighted to have finally figured out how to get the best out of the DeVore O/96's. 
I've always liked them, yet I kept going back to the 93's. I thought, well, maybe it was just a room thing here. Better fit, you know.  Until, that moment when you do something that says, Eureka! he's got it! When the planets align, when the music explodes from the system.  Ah, it's a glorious thing.  Those two Orangutan models are unquestionably some of the best speakers out there, and topple many higher priced speakers off their spikes.  Schedule an appointment now, you'll be glad you did.  And bring some records to clean.  Just a few, mind you - unless you're bringing me a check for some Orangutans.
